Huawei unveiled the Huawei Ascend GX1 (SC-CL00), which is the latest mid-range phablet in the company’s Ascend series in China. The company is all set to launch new mid-range 4G LTE devices in 2015 as well. Lets have a look at the specifications of Ascend GX1.
The Huawei Ascend GX1 features a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD capacitive in-cell touch-sensitive screen and has 80.5% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it. Hopefully, Huawei will provide an Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well. The device is 9.2 mm thick and weighs only 173 grams.
The Huawei Ascend GX1 has 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phablet has several camera modes such as quick capture from the lock screen, voice capture and more.
The Huawei Ascend GX1 has 4G LTE/3G, standard WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS as connectivity options. It packs in a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood. It is a dual SIM phablet and has a faux leather back cover.
The Huawei Ascend GX1 will be available in White colour variant which has been priced at 1590 yuan (USD 225/ INR 16,000 approximately). It is available via Vmall in China. No word on International roll out yet.
