Sapphire glass devices are emerging in the market after Apple has given a road-map of the upcoming iPhone 6 with Sapphire Glass. This time it’s Huawei. Huawei unveiled the Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition at IFA 2014. It have the same specs like the Ascend P7 except the front panel which is made up of Sapphire, the most scratch-resistant material.
The device will also have 4G capabilities and the first LTE device in China to feature a Sapphire Glass. The device is crack resistant, have superior thermal and infrared conductivity. It uses high-tech ceramic at the rear of the phone to enhance the strength.

The specifications are just the same as the Ascend P7 that includes a quad-core processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat) embedded with Huawei own Emotion UI on top of it. Like the P7, it also has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony’s BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei plans to launch this device in China in Q3, 2014.
