HTC RE camera now lets you live stream on YouTube

HTC RE camera was introduced back in October last year and went on sale in India exclusively on Snapdeal in November. It is available for Rs 9,990 with a free 8 GB memory card. The camera has received an update which now lets it live stream videos on YouTube.

If you’re a HTC RE camera owner, now you can capture video and instantly live stream it on YouTube. This new feature has been brought in the form of an update to the RE Camera app. After downloading the app, users will have to sign in to their YouTube account and activate live streaming.

Currently, the update has only hit the Android app and the iOS app will receive the update in the next quarter. So, if you own a HTC RE camera and use an Android smartphone, update or download the RE Camera app to use the new feature. Also, in order to live stream content on YouTube, the RE Camera should stay connected to the smartphone.

The process is quite simple. First of all, your YouTube account will be verified after you enter the details in the RE Camera app. Then your camera will send the content to your connected smartphone, that will then live stream it to YouTube. The live stream link can be sent to people from the app itself via SMS and social media.
