HTC One X9 phablet with metal body officially announced

HTC One X9 has been officially announced in China. It is the latest mid-range phablet from the company that was spotted on TENAA back in November. Lets check out the specifications of the device.


HTC One X9 Specifications

The HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display that has 170-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 64-bit processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and has 32 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with the latest HTC UI on top of it.

The One X9 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and supports RAW image capture. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a ultrapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 24.7 mm lens for selfies and video calling. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It has a metal body which is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 173 grams. It supports Dual SIM (nano) and comes with Dual BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio.


On the connectivity front, the One X9 include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS + GLONASS. The phablet packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging.

The HTC One X9 is available in Gunmetal Grey and Silver color variants and has been priced at CNY 2399 (US $370 / INR Rs 24,444 approximately). It will go on sale in China very soon. There is no information about global roll out yet.

The company’s recent launch was the HTC One A9 which is now available in India for Rs 29,990.
