HTC One S9 with 5-inch Full HD display, Helio X10 SoC, 2GB RAM goes official

HTC One S9 has been officially introduced in Germany, which has a similar design as the HTC One M9s launched in China last year. Lets check out the specifications of the smartphone now.

The HTC One S9 features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64-bit processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and has 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with the latest HTC Sense UI on top. It has a brushed metal body.

The One S9 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 28 mm lens and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, there is a ultrapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 2 µm pixels for selfies and video calling. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It has a unibody metal build, which is 10.09 mm thick and weighs 158 grams. It has dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio and supports Single SIM (nano).

On the connectivity front, the One S9 include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with GLONASS. The smartphone packs in a 2,840 mAh battery under the hood.

The HTC One S9 is available in Gold, Silver, Gunmetal Grey color variants. It has been priced at €499 (US $563 / INR Rs 37,414 approximately) in Germany and will go on sale starting from mid-May 2016. There is no information about global launch yet.

The company has recently launched the flagship smartphone, HTC 10. It can now be pre-ordered in the US and many European countries. It is also coming soon to India.
