HTC One M9+ with fingerprint reader officially launched

HTC One M9+ has been finally unveiled at an event in China today. The smartphone was leaked ahead of the launch. Lets go through the specifications of the device.


HTC One M9+ Specifications

The HTC One M9+ features a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio (MT6795T) 64-bit processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and has 32 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the latest Sense 7 UI on top of it. There is a fingerprint sensor below the display which helps in secure locks and payments. It works using multi-directional sensors, which allows you to place your finger on the sensor, in any direction to unlock the phone, according to HTC.

One the camera front, the HTC One M9+ rocks a 20.7 and 2.1 megapixel rear cameras with dual LED flash. It comes with a ultrapixel front-facing camera for better low-light images (selfies) and video calling. It comes with 5.1 Dolby digital surround front-facing speakers.


The HTC One M9+ comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone is powered by a 2,840 mAh battery under the hood.

The HTC One M9+ will be available in Gunmetal Grey, Silver and Gold colour variants. It will go on sale in China shortly. There is no information on the global roll out or pricing yet. The company will also sale Dot View Case separately just like the HTC One M9.
