HTC Desire 825 with Android Marshmallow goes official

HTC Desire 825 has been officially introduced in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). It is the latest budget phablet in the Desire 800 series. Lets go through the specifications of the device.


HTC Desire 825 Specifications

The HTC Desire 825 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super LCD display that is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with HTC’s Sense 7 UI on top of it. It comes with a Sensor Hub that is always-on and will record the user’s daily activity, dynamic for fitness information and gestures.

On the camera front, the Desire 825 has a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and Full HD 1080p video recording. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for your selfies and video calling. The phablet is 7.4 mm thick and weighs 155 grams. It supports Single / Dual (nano) SIM, depending on the region and also comes with Dual front-facing stereo speakers along with BoomSound and Dolby audio. The consumer will also get a Hi-Res audio headset out of the box.

The Desire 825 comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS as connectivity options. The phablet has a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood.

The HTC Desire 825 is available in Graphite Gray Remix with gold micro splash and Stratus White Remix with duo color micro splash color variants. The pricing has not been announced yet but it will start rolling out from March 2016.
