HTC launched the latest smartphone in the Desire series today in India. The device is called the HTC Desire 526G+ which has been priced at Rs 10,400 for the 8 GB variant and Rs 11,400 for the 16 GB variant. Strangely, the 8 GB model will be available exclusively on Snapdeal whereas the 16 GB will be available in all retail stores across India.
HTC Desire 526G+ Specifications
The HTC Desire 526G+ sports a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor. The Desire 526G+ comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8/16 GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card slot. The latest Desire smartphone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC’s Sense 6.0 custom UI on top and hopefully be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
On the camera front, the HTC Desire 526G+ has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It shoots Full HD 1080p videos as well. It has 2-megapixel front-facing camera for your selfies and video calling and can shoot HD (720p) videos as well. The smartphone is 9.8 mm in thickness and weighs only 154 grams.
The HTC Desire 526G+ comes with 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The device has a 2,000 mAh battery under the hood. It has dual SIM (micro) with dual standby mode.
The HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM will be available in Glacier Blue and Lacquer Black colour variants and has been priced at Rs 10,400 for the 8 GB variant and Rs 11,400 for the 16 GB variant. Strangely, the 8 GB model will be available exclusively on Snapdeal whereas the 16 GB will be available in all retail stores across India by the last week of January, 2015.
HTC recently launched the Desire 826 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The company has recently launched the HTC Internet web browser on Google Play and plans to introduce budget friendly 4G LTE-enabled devices in 2015. The all new HTC flagship phone will launch at MWC 2015.
