HTC Butterfly 3 announced for international markets

HTC Butterfly 3 has been announced today for the International markets. It is a variant of the HTC J Butterfly HTV31 that was launched in Japan back in May. Lets go through the specifications of the device.


HTC Butterfly 3 Specifications

The HTC Butterfly 3 sports a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD SLCD3 display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core (2 GHz x 4 + 1.5 GHz x 4) processor with Adreno 430 GPU. The Butterfly comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card slot. It runs on Android Lollipop with a layer of HTC Sense 7 UI on top.

On the camera front, the Butterfly 3 has a 20 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, sapphire lens cover, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 27.8 mm lens. It also comes with a secondary rear camera to capture depth in photos and these dual camera setup can shoot 4K videos. It has a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 28.2 mm lens for your selfies and video calling. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. The smartphone is 9.99 mm thick and weighs 161 grams. It has Dual front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Audio.

The Butterfly 3 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0, NFC and GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options. The device packs in a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood and is IPX7 certified which makes it water and dust resistant.

The HTC Butterfly 3 is available in white, carmine (red) and midnight blue color variants and has been priced at NT $ 19,900 (US $602 / INR Rs 39,790 approximately). It goes on sale in Taiwan starting from October 20 but the company did not announce any details about global launch yet. HTC has also announced a new One M9+ Aurora Edition today.
