HTC has announced a new One M9+ Aurora Edition smartphone that comes with a better camera, along with the international version of the HTC Butterfly 3. The One M9+ was announced back in April this year and was launched in India as well. Lets take a look at the specifications of the upgraded variant.
HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition Specifications
The HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition features a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio (MT6795T) 64-bit processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and has 32 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the latest Sense 7 UI on top of it. There is a fingerprint sensor below the display which helps in secure locks and payments. It works using multi-directional sensors, which allows you to place your finger on the sensor, in any direction to unlock the phone, according to HTC.
One the camera front, the HTC One M9+ rocks a 21 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, OIS, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture and 26.7 mm lens. It can record 4K videos. It comes with a ultrapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 26.8 mm lens for better low-light images (selfies) and video calling. It can record Full HD 1080p videos as well. It comes with dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio. It is 9.61 mm thick and weighs 168 grams.
The HTC One M9+ comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone is powered by a 2,840 mAh battery under the hood.
The new HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition is available in Silver, Black, Grey and Gold color variants and has been priced at NT $ 20,900 (US $633 / INR Rs 41,790 approximately). It goes on sale in Taiwan starting from October 15 but the company did not announce any details about global launch yet.
