HTC 10 was officially unveiled on April 12 and it is now available for pre-order in USA and Europe. It is the latest flagship smartphone from the company that come with top of the line hardware like the Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, Quad HD display and more. Lets check out the rest of the specifications and pricing of the device according to the regions.
HTC 10 Specifications
The HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Super LCD 5 display which comes wrapped with 2.5D glass. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal memory, which can further be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with HTC’s Sense 8.0 UI on top. It supports Freestyle Layout which will let the user place Stickers all over the wallpaper, with each sticker representing an application.
On the camera front, the HTC 10 has a 12 megapixel (known as HTC Ultrapixel 2) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 1.55 µm pixels, Laser Auto Focus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is capable of recording 4K videos as well. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 1.34 µm pixels for selfies and video calling. According to HTC, this is the first smartphone in the world to sport dual OIS. It comes with a full metal body which is 3.0 – 9.0 mm thick (curved) and weighs 161 grams. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button and it features the iconic HTC BoomSound, Dolby Audio, three noise cancellation microphones and 24-bit hi-res audio as well.
The HTC 10 comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
In USA, the HTC 10 is priced at $699 and is available in Carbon Grey and Glacier Silver color variants. It comes unlocked and is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
In case of UK, the unlocked variant of the 10 costs £570 and it is available in Carbon Grey, Glacier Silver and Topaz Gold color variants. In Austria, Italy, Spain and France, it can be pre-ordered for €749. In Sweden and Finland, it costs €799.
Now coming to Germany, it can be pre-ordered for €699 (unlocked), which can be purchased from Sparhandy or Notebooksbilliger. However, if one wishes to buy it on a 2 year contract, O2 is giving it for €30 per month.
HTC has not mentioned about the storage capacity officially, so it is safe to assume that these prices are for the 32GB variant. The device will start shipping in May. It is also coming to India very soon.
