HTC 10 with Snapdragon 820 SoC launched in India for Rs 52990

HTC 10 has been officially launched in India today, as expected. It is the latest flagship smartphone from the company that was unveiled in April this year. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device now.


HTC 10 Specifications

The HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Super LCD 5 display which comes wrapped with 2.5D glass. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which can further be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with HTC’s Sense 8.0 UI on top. It supports Freestyle Layout which will let the user place Stickers all over the wallpaper, with each sticker representing an application.

On the camera front, the HTC 10 has a 12 megapixel (known as HTC Ultrapixel 2) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 1.55 µm pixels, Laser Auto Focus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is capable of recording 4K videos as well. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 1.34 µm pixels for selfies and video calling. According to HTC, this is the first smartphone in the world to sport dual OIS. It comes with a full metal body which is 3.0 – 9.0 mm thick (curved) and weighs 161 grams. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button and it features the iconic HTC BoomSound, Dolby Audio, three noise cancellation microphones and 24-bit hi-res audio as well.

The HTC 10 comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The HTC 10 is available in Topaz Gold and Carbon Grey color variants for Rs 52,990 in India. It will go on sale starting from June 5, 2016. First 500 consumers will get a free cover. Also, the HTC 10 Lifestyle variant with Snapdragon 652 SoC and 3GB RAM has been launched and will go on sale on June 5 as well, however the pricing has not been revealed yet.

HTC India has also launched the HTC Desire One X9 dual sim for Rs 25,990HTC Desire 825 for Rs 18,990 and HTC Desire 628 dual sim for Rs 13,990 today.

Also, the LG G5 has been priced at Rs 52,990 and will officially launch on June 1. It is on pre-order in India.
