HP Stream 8 and Slate 6 VoiceTab II launched in India for Rs 16,990 and Rs 15,990 respectively

HP Stream 8 tablet was available couple of weeks ago in India and now it has been officially launched by HP along with couple of other devices. The company has also announced the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II which is a voice calling tablet running on Android. They are also launching HP Stream 11, a 11.6-inch Windows 8.1 notebook and HP Pavilion Mini Desktop, which is a palm sized desktop.

The HP Stream 8 tablet (WiFi + 3G, 32 GB) comes in Black colour and is now available on Flipkart for Rs 16,990 and HP’s online store. The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II will also be available on Flipkart priced at Rs 15,990. Whereas, the HP Pavilion Mini Desktop will be starting at Rs 26,990 and the HP Stream 11 at Rs 19,990.

HP Stream 8 Specifications

The HP Stream 8 features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) anti-glare multi-touch IPS display. It is powered by 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with Intel HD Graphics. It has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The tablet runs on Windows 8.1 OS.

On the camera front, the HP Stream 8 is equipped with a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. The dimensions of the tablet are 124 x 209 x 8.9 mm and it weighs 410 grams. The device comes with 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage and free Microsoft Office license for one year.

The HP Stream 8 Windows 8.1 tablet comes with 3G (via SIM card slot), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 as connectivity options. It has a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II features a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Marvel PXA1088 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat which will hopefully be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.

On the camera front, the HP Slate 6 is equipped with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is 8.98 mm thick and weighs 160 grams.

The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II comes with 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 30 with EDR, GPS as connectivity options. It has a 3,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery under the hood.
