HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 with Windows 10 announced, price starts at USD 479

HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 has been announced. It is the first commercial tablet by HP with Windows 10 on board. Lets have a look at the specifications.


HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 Specifications

The HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 features a 8-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) 4:3 display which is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor with Intel HD graphics. It has 2 or 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32/64/128 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device will run on Windows 8.1 Pr0 out of the box but will be updated to Windows 10, when it comes out in August. It is basically targeted at business users.

The tablet comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera. On the front, it has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The body is made up of metal-reinforced chassis and has dual front-facing stereo speakers, dual microphones, DTS Studio Sound and noise-cancelling software.

The Pro Tablet 608 G1 includes 4G LTE with worldwide connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, WiDi, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC as connectivity options. The tablet promises up to 8 hours of battery life. It will also be offered with an optional keyboard case and a portable travel dock with HDMI, Ethernet and full-sized USB ports.

The HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 will be available in July and price starts at US $479 for the base model.
