Huawei had introduced their online-only sub-brand called Honor just 999 days ago and today the company has announced that they have crossed a total sales of 100 million units since launch.
Also, Honor has managed to sell over 1.5 million units of the Honor 8 smartphone since its launch in China back in July 2016. It was also released in USA and Europe soon after, however it has not been released in India yet. Hopefully it will come soon. Check out its specifications and features below.
Huawei honor 8 Specifications
The Huawei honor 8 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, which has 96% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 (Quad 2.3 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 16nm processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.
The honor 8 rocks a 12 megapixel dual rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and 6P lens. It has 1.4 µm pixel size and it promises extraordinary image quality in low-light photography. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (nano + nano/microSD) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body that is 7.45 mm thick and weigh 153 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The honor 8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
