Honor Pad 2 tablet with 4G LTE and Honor Watch S1 goes official

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor along with the launch of its mid-ranged smartphone, the Honor 6X has also launched a new tablet and a fitness watch – Honor Pad 2 and Honor Watch S1, respectively. Lets check out their features, specifications and pricing one by one.

The Honor Pad 2 features a 8.0-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) 16:10 IPS display, that is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 16 / 32 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.

The Pad 2 rocks a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

The Pad 2 comes with 4G LTE (with voice calling), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS / GLONASS as connectivity options. The tablet packs in a 4,800 mAh battery under the hood.

The Huawei Honor Pad 2 is available in White and Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 999 (US $148 / INR Rs 9,885 approximately) for the 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM, WiFi-only variant, CNY 1299 (US $193 / INR Rs 12,855 approximately) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, WiFi-only variant and CNY 1499 (US $222 / INR Rs 14,832 approximately) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 4G LTE model.

The Huawei Honor Watch S1 is a fitness watch that comes with a circular dial and interchangeable straps (18 mm). It is water-resistant (up to 50 meters), features a heart rate monitor and weighs just 35 grams. It also offers basic features like notifications for calls, messages and reminders when it is connected to a smartphone. It is primarily a successor to the Honor Zero Band that promises up to 6 days of battery life.

The Honor Watch S1 is available Black, Blue and Orange straps. It has been priced at CNY 699 (US $104 / INR Rs 6,919 approximately) in China.

Both the tablet and the watch can be ordered from October 19 in China and will go on sale starting from October 25, 2016. There is no information about their global launch yet.
