Huawei has officially launched the Honor Note 8 at an event in China today. Lets go through the specifications, features and pricing of the massive phablet below.
Honor Note 8 Specifications
The Honor Note 8 features a 6.6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display, which has up to 105% NTSC color gamut and 70,000:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 955 (Quad 2.5 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 / 128 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.
The Note 8 rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (nano + nano/microSD) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body, that is 7.18 mm thick and weighs 219 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The Honor Note 8 comes with 4G with VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 4,500 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
The Honor Note 8 is available in Silver, Gray and Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 2299 (US $346 / INR Rs 23,084 approximately) for the 32GB RAM variant, CNY 2499 (US $376 / INR Rs 25,102 approximately) for the 64GB RAM model and CNY 2799 (US $421 / INR Rs 28,105 approximately) for the 128GB storage variant. It can be ordered via vmall and jd.com starting today and will go on sale from August 9, 2016 in China. There is no information on global roll out yet.
The company has also launched the Honor 5 in China today.
