Honor Holly 3 becomes the first ‘Made in India’ smartphone from Huawei

Huawei’s sub brand Honor has launched their first “Made in India” smartphone along with the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart at an event in Delhi, as expected. However, it is called the Honor Holly 3 and not Honor 5A (launched in China back in June), although it has the same specifications. The Honor Holly 3 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, which has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and comes with anti-glare coating. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz octa-core Kirin 620 64-bit processor along with Mali 450 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.

The Holly 3 rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 22 mm wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lenses for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM and comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and Box speakers. It is 8.45 mm thick and weigh 168 grams. At the back, there is a classic 3D textured back cover, similar to the one found on Holly 2 Plus.

The Holly 3 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood with power saving feature, which promises up to 1.74 days of battery life with average usage and with heavy usage you’ll end up getting up to 1.17 days of battery life.

The Huawei Honor Holly 3 is available in Gold, White and Black colors. It has been priced at Rs 9,999 and is expected to go on sale in India very soon. Huawei India has also launched the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart.
