Huawei, along with the Honor 8 has also launched a cheaper variant of the smartphone named Honor 8 Smart at an event in Delhi today. Lets go through its specifications, features and pricing below.
Honor 8 Smart Specifications
The Honor 8 Smart features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, that has 1500:1 contrast ratio and 405 nits of brightness. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 650 (Quad 2.0 GHz + Quad 1.7 GHz – Cortex A53) 16nm processor along with Mali T830 GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.
The Honor 8 Smart rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor and 5P lens. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with a Single SIM (nano), a 3.5 mm audio jack, HiSilicon Hi6402 24-bit DAC and Smart PA amplifier. It has an aircraft grade aluminium alloy body and features a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The Honor 8 Smart comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood that promises up to 1.3 days of battery life with heavy usage.
The Honor 8 Smart is available in White, Gold and Black color variants. It has been priced at Rs 19,999 in India and will go on sale very soon. The company has also launched the Honor 8 and Honor Holly 3 today.
