Huawei India launches Honor 8 Lite with Android 7.0 Nougat for Rs. 17999

Honor 8 Lite has been officially launched in India. The smartphone was first announced in Finland and then in China back in February this year. Lets take a look at the specifications, features and pricing of the phone below.

The Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, that is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.7GHz) 16nm processor along with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The device runs on EMUI 5.0 based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The Honor 8 Lite rocks a 12 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD card), a 3.5 mm audio jack, HiSilicon Hi6402 24-bit DAC and Smart PA amplifier. It has an aircraft grade aluminium alloy body and features a fingerprint sensor at the back. The phone is 7.6mm thick and weighs 147 grams.

The Honor 8 Lite includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3000mAh battery under the hood.

The Honor 8 Lite is priced at Rs. 17,999 and has already gone on sale via all Honor partner stores across the country. The phone is currently available in Premium Black color but a Blue color variant will also be introduced by the end of this month. Huawei is also offering 15 month service warranty along with Honour’s door pick-up and drop after sale service.
