Honor 8 Doctor Strange Limited Edition goes official

Honor has partnered with Marvel as the official partner of the upcoming Doctor Strange movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch. In order to celebrate and promote the movie, Honor is giving fans the chance to get their hands on an Honor 8 Doctor Strange Limited Edition smartphone that has the Eye of Agamotto etched in it.

In order to mark the release of the movie on October 25, Honor is giving customers the chance to win two adult cinema tickets for Doctor Strange and four Marvel movie downloads, courtesy of Honor and Three. Consumers can access this promotion after purchasing an Honor 8 handset via Three, which is the exclusive network provider of Honor devices. The promotion kicked-off on October 3 and would go on till November 30, 2016.

The Honor 8 was launched in Europe and the UK in August. It is selling for £369.99. The handset will also be launched in India tomorrow. Check out the specifications and features of the device below.

The Huawei Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, which has 96% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 (Quad 2.3 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 16nm processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.

The Honor 8 rocks a 12 megapixel dual rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and 6P lens. It has 1.4 µm pixel size and it promises extraordinary image quality in low-light photography. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (nano + nano/microSD) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body that is 7.45 mm thick and weigh 153 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Honor 8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
