Huawei’s online-only sub-brand Honor had recently announced that the brand has sold over 100 million Honor smartphones in just 999 days. Among those 100 million units, the recently launched Honor 8 has been sold over 1.5 million times already. Now, a new Honor smartphone (budget) is on its way, codenamed as BLN-AL10 it could be the Honor 6X, which is the successor of last year’s Honor 5X. It has been certified by TENAA in China.
Huawei just loves the dual camera system. It was first introduced in the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. Later it made its way into Honor smartphones – Honor V8 and Honor 8. If we look at the leaked image, the Honor 6X is also receiving the dual rear camera setup. We do not know the exact specifications of the device yet but according to the image, it will have a unibody metal design like most other new Honor smartphones. The display will come with 2.5D curved glass on the front and as we have mentioned, it will come with two rear cameras at the back with a single LED flash. The fingerprint sensor will also be located at the back below the rear cameras. There will be a slight camera bump as well.
The Honor 5X had a dedicated Dual SIM slot along with a separate microSD card slot, however the 6X is expected to come with a Hybrid SIM slot, where the second SIM slot can also be used as a microSD card slot, according to your needs. It is not a good move as most people prefer dedicated slots and not miss out on Dual SIM connectivity if they want to increase storage. It should be powered by an octa-core processor and might come with 3 / 4GB RAM options.
The Honor 6X is expected to rock a similar display as compared to its predecessor – a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD panel. It will obviously support 4G LTE (VoLTE not confirmed yet but very likely) and have the usual connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and more. The new budget smartphone from the house of Honor should launch in the upcoming months.
