Chinese phone maker Gionee is has launched their slimmest phone till date, the Gionee S5.1 which has been recognized by Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Slimmest Phone. The device is readily available in China and the manufacturer believes that it would be available in Indian market by November.
Gionee Smartphones India Head Arvind Vohra told PTI.
”We are excited to have made it to the Guinness World Records for the world’s thinnest smartphone category. The Gionee Elife S5.1 has been launched in China and will be available in India by early November,”
Like the Gionee S5.5, Gionee S5.1 has a body which comprises of glass and metal. The Gionee S5.1 will feature a 4.8-inch display accompanied by a quad-core 1.2-GHz Snapdragon processor and 1 GB of RAM. The device has got a toned down camera than its previous generation. It now features an 8-megapixel rear shooter. Gionee S5.1 has got LTE connectivity which was not there in Gionee S5.5. As mentioned before, we expect this device to hit the store by November. No words on pricing has been announced.
