Google at the media event in San Francisco yesterday also announced the all new Google Pixel C along with the new Nexus smartphones. It is the latest tablet in the Pixel lineup that wants to cover up the hybrid laptop-tablet space. Even Apple has forayed into this space with the iPad Pro. Lets check out the specifications of the device.
Google Pixel C Specifications
The Google Pixel C features a 10.2-inch (3200 x 1800 pixels) 500 nits 16:9 display that has a pixel density of 308 ppi. It is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor along with 256-core Maxwell GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes in 32 / 64 GB internal memory that cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It comes with a keyboard that attaches to the tablet magnetically. It connects via Bluetooth, clings to the back of the device when not in use and also charges inductively whenever it is closed. The keyboard is not included in the box and has to be purchased separately.
The Pixel C comes with front and rear cameras. It includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2×2 MIMO, dual band (2.4 GHz & 5.0 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and reversible USB Type-C port as connectivity options. There was no mention of the battery capacity.
The Google Pixel C tablet has been priced at US $499 (INR Rs 32,804 approximately) for the 32GB storage and US $599 (INR Rs 39,360 approximately) for the 64GB edition. The keyboard has to be purchased separately and it costs $149 (INR Rs 9,794 approximately). According to Google, the Pixel C tablet will go on sale during the holidays (December likely). However, the company did not reveal the exact details of the roll out like date, availability (location).
