Google Nexus 6 gets price cut in India, now starts at Rs 34999

Google Nexus 6 was announced back in November last year and soon came to India. The 32 GB variant was priced at Rs 44,000 and the 64 GB variant costed Rs 49,000. But now, it is being sold for much less.


The 32 GB variant is now selling for Rs 34,999 but with exchange offer, you can grab it for as low as Rs 29,999. Whereas the 64 GB model is now available for Rs 39,999 and with exchange offer, it can be picked up for as low as Rs 34,999.

These offers are only valid on Flipkart and we do not have any information, if it is a permanent price drop or a limited time offer. Hence grab it now, if you wanted a Nexus 6. Or else, you could wait for the next Nexus iteration from Google, which is round the corner.

The Nexus 6 is a phablet which sports a giant 5.96-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 493 ppi. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and is also covered by Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.7 GHz quad-core Krait 450 processor which has 3GB of RAM and comes with Adreno 420 GPU. The device runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop which comes with array of changes along with the most important ‘Material Design’. The phablet is 10.06 mm thick and weighs 184 grams.

On the camera front, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. It comes with Dual LED ring flash and has a f/2.0 aperture. It also records 4K video at 30 frames per second. Nexus 6 comes with a 2 megapixel front facing camera for your selfies and you can also do HD video calling.

On the connectivity front, it has standard WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2×2 (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC as well as comes with 4G LTE and 3G/HSPA+ connectivity. The phablet packs in a 3,200 mAh battery under the hood and Google promises Standby time (Ambient Display on) up to 250 hours. With Standby time (Ambient Display off), you will get up to 330 hours. While using internet on WiFi, users would get around 9,5 hours and up to 10 hours on LTE doing the same. The battery would last up to 10 hours with video playback and 24 hours if only used for calling.
