Google launches YouTube Kids on Android and iOS

Google was supposed to launch YouTube Kids on Android today but it has made its way on to the iOS platform as well. YouTube Kids is now available on Android and iOS but only in USA as of now.

YouTube Kids app is the first Google product which has been built from scratch with little ones in mind. The app makes it safer and easier for children to find videos on topics they want to explore. It is now available for free on Android and iOS but only in USA for the time being.

The YouTube Kids app comes with a bright and playful design. The design makes it easier to find your desired contents. It is easier and faster for kids’ little thumbs to navigate between large images and bold icons. There is even built-in voice search so that if a child cannot spell or type, they can still easily find videos of things they’re curious about.

Family-focused content comes to the YouTube Kids app. Parents need not stress anymore as content appropriate for kids will only feature on this app. There will be browse channels and playlists in four categories – Show, Music, Learning and Explore. The YouTube Kids apps will include contents from National Geographic Kids, DreamWorks TV, Jim Henson TV, Thomas the Tank Engine, Mother Goose Club, Friends and more.

Parental controls includes four different options – Timer, Sound settings, Search settings and Product feedback.
