Google Gboard keyboard for iPhone and iPad with built-in search features now available in India

Back in May, Google had officially released a new Keyboard app named Gboard for iOS devices in USA. The company then launched it in Australia, UK, Canada and Ireland last Friday. Today, it has been finally launched in India. It will let you search from the app and it can be anything including web searches, images or GIFs or even emojis, without the need of leaving the keyboard. It also supports Glide Typing, which will work by sliding your fingers from key to key instead of tapping a key.

Key Features of Google Gboard for iPhone

  • You can search and send anything from Google like Nearby stores and restaurants, images and videos, weather forecasts, news and articles, sports scores and everything else that you’d search on Google
  • Search GIFs for sending the best reaction ever
  • Search emojis to send the perfect one, ever faster
  • Glide Typing will help you type faster by sliding your finger from letter to letter

The company said that when you perform a search on the keyboard app, it sends your query to Google’s web servers so that Google can process your query and send you the search results. It also sends anonymous statistics to Google to help diagnose problems, when the app crashes and to let them know which features are most often used, however, it does not send the words you type, since they are stored in the phone.
