After the announcement of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google apps are bound to get updated with ‘Material Design’ language which is the essence of Lollipop. Google has now pushed an update for Google Drive with Material Design globally.
The latest app to catch the ‘Material Design’ bug is Google Drive. Google has updated most of its native apps over the last week in order to incorporate the Android Lollipop theme which is rolling out as well. Earlier, we noticed Google Calendar getting an update with Material Design along with Google Play Music, Gmail, Google Play Store, Google Chrome.
Google Drive with its latest update incorporates new Activity Stream. Now you can easily search and manage files and folders with new details panel. A PDF viewer mode has been integrated where you will be given an option to open the PDF with your preferred apps. Lets have a look at the Change Log of Google Drive Version 2.1.424.18.35
- Activity Stream: view changes to files and folders made by you and others from the details panel
- More easily manage files and folders with new details panel
- Set files or folders so anyone with a link can view, comment, or edit
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
The update has been pushed by Google and is rolling gradually around the globe. Please note Version 2.1.424.18.35 comes with the Material Design update and not Version 188.8.131.52 which also shows the same change log.
