Google announces Chromecast Audio for USD 35

Google has announced an all new device called Chromecast Audio along with the new Chromecast 2015 streaming stick. This device is completely optimized for audio and enhances Google’s device portfolio to strengthen their streaming and home entertainment products.

The Google Chromecast Audio has almost the same internals as the new Chromecast 2015. It supports WiFi 802.11 ac standard as well as the 5.0 GHz WiFi and it will allow the users to experience an overall faster streaming getting past the network congestion. However, here we have three different inputs that include 3.5 mm audio jack, RCA and optical inputs instead of the HDMI port.

In Chromecast Audio also, the updated app plays a crucial role that makes it easier to find out which of the user’s apps are compatible with the streaming device. The app will also help in discovering trending content from those applications as well. It is supported on Android 4.1, iOS 7, Mac OS X 10.7, Windows 7 and higher.

Chromecast Audio has built-in support for most music apps on Android, however, does not support Spotify yet. But Spotify has announced that it will have Chromecast support as well. It has been priced at US $35 (INR Rs 2,293 approximately) and will be available in 17 countries at launch.

Google has also announced Nexus 5XNexus 6P and Google Pixel C tablet at the event.
