Gionee W909 dual-screen Android flip phone with 4GB RAM goes official

Gionee W909 has been officially announced in China today. It is a dual-screen Android flip phone that comes with dual 4.2-inch displays. Lets have a look at the other specifications of the device now.


Gionee W909 Specifications

The Gionee W909 features a 4.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD dual touch screen IPS displays (one on the front and the other is on the inside along with a T9 keypad) with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor along with Mali T860MP2 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The W909 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 6P lenses, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and Laser Auto Focus. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The fingerprint sensor will let you unlock the phone in just 0.38 seconds. It comes with a metal body and the back has a leather-like finish. It is 16.5 mm thick and weighs 207.7 grams.


The W909 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The flip phone packs in a 2,530 mAh battery under the hood.

The Gionee W909 is available in Rose Gold color and has been priced at CNY 3999 (US $615 / INR Rs 40,750 approximately) and can now be ordered in China.

Earlier last month, Gionee S8 flagship phablet was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016.
