Gionee S6 Pro has been officially announced in China today. It is a variant of the Gionee S6, which was launched back in November last year. Lets go through the specifications and pricing of the device now.

The Gionee S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display that has a 77.8% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) 64-bit processor along with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and has 64 GB of internal memory, that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Amigo OS 3.2 out of the box based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The S6 Pro rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It shoots Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano), where the nano SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. The body is made up of aluminium-magnesium alloy, which is 7.6 mm thick and weighs 170 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, which can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds and also has Trustonic TEE security features.
On the connectivity front, the S6 Pro includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and GPS. The phablet packs in a 3,130 mAh battery under the hood.
The Gionee S6 Pro is available in Silver, Gold and Rose Gold color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1999 (US $303 / INR Rs 20,364 approximately) and is now selling in China via tmall and the official Gionee Shop.
