Gionee S Plus phablet with USB Type-C launched in India for Rs 16999

Gionee S Plus phablet has been launched in India today. It is the latest smartphone by Gionee which is also their first device that sports the latest USB Type-C port. Lets take a look at the specifications of the device.


Gionee S Plus Specifications

The Gionee S Plus features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED Plus display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with Amigo 3.1 UI on top of it. The S Plus comes with a 38* double cabochon and 8.2mm R angle ergonomics designed battery cover with perfect natural lines that seamlessly fits in the hands.

The S Plus comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is a Dual SIM smartphone, has a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It also comes with 3D vibration mode, rumble effect and face unlock feature.

The Gionee S Plus includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and USB Type-C port as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,150 mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging.


The Gionee S Plus is available in Dark Blue, White and Golden color variants and has been priced at Rs 16,999 in India. It goes on sale in the country starting November first week. The company also launched the Gionee Elife E8 in the country recently for Rs 34,999.
