Gionee Marathon M5 Plus now selling in India for Rs 26999

Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is now selling in India, according to Mahesh Telecom. It is the latest phablet in the Marathon series that packs in a massive 5020mAh battery under the hood. It was launched in China in December last year. Lets check out the other specifications of the device now.


Gionee Marathon M5 Plus Specifications

The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 77.5%. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s Amigo UI 3.1 on top of it. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button that promises a response time of 0.1 seconds and a recognition time of 0.38 seconds.

The Marathon M5 Plus comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5P lenses. It shoots Full HD (1080p) videos. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 84-degree ultra-wide angle lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet has a unibody metal build which is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 208 grams. It supports Dual SIM (micro), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and DTS audio.

The M5 Plus comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, GPS and USB Type-C as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 5,020 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging capabilities. Only 1 hour of charging will offer up to 1 day of usage. It can also charge other devices and act as a powerbank and has fast dual charging chips.

The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is available in Champagne Gold and Polar Gold color variants for Rs 26,999 in India. It will go on sale across the country soon.
