Gionee Marathon M5 has been announced in China with a whopping 6,020 mAh battery, along with the flagship Elife E8. Lets have a look at the specifications of the device.
Gionee Marathon M5 Specifications
The Gionee Marathon M5 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED Plus display which is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor along with Mali-T760 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s Amigo UI 3.1 on top of it.
The Marathon M5 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5P lenses. It shoots Full HD (1080p) videos. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 84-degree ultra-wide angle lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet has a unibody metal build which is 8.5 mm thick (4.75mm edge) and weighs 214 grams. It supports dual SIM feature and comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The Marathon M5 comes with 4G LTE (on both SIMs), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 6,020 mAh battery under the hood. It actually has two 3,010 battery cells which promises up to 62 hours of standby time even if the phablet has only 5% battery left. It can also charge other devices and act as a powerbank and has fast dual charging chips.
The Gionee Marathon M5 is available in Black, Gold and White colour variants and has been priced at CNY 2,299 (US $370 / INR Rs 23,650 approximately) and goes on sale in China from June 25, 2015. There is no information on when it is coming to India.
