Gionee launches CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE smartphones in India for Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively

Gionee is on a smartphone launching spree. The company launched the Marathon M3 with a whopping 5,000 mAh battery few days back and now they are launching mid-ranged LTE smartphones in India. Gionee launches CTRL V6L which, successor of CTRL V4S and Pioneer P5L LTE enabled smartphones in India.

Gionee launches CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE enabled smartphones along with P4S and P6 smartphones in India. Lets have a look at CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L smartphones now.

Gionee CTRL V6L

The Gionee CTRL V6L features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display which is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with possible update to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.

The CTRL V6L comes with a 8-megapixel auto-focus rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is just 6.9 mm thick which makes it quite slim and also a dual SIM phone.

The Gionee CTRL V6L includes 4G LTE/3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,000 mAh battery under the hood as well.

Gionee Pioneer P5L

The Gionee Pioneer P5L features a 4.7-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display which is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with possible update to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.

The Pioneer P5L comes with a 5-megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is a dual SIM phone.

The Gionee Pioneer P5L includes 4G LTE/3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 1,800 mAh battery under the hood as well.

On the launch of the new Gionee CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L, Mr. Arvind Vohra, Gionee India Head said,

“Gionee has always kept itself updated with the latest technology advancements and market trends. Continuing our endeavour to provide every customer with the best in technology we are announcing a host of new products and LTE devices will be our key focus.

Along with CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L, Gionee has also announced the P4S which has a 4.5 FWVGA display and P6 that has 5-inch FWVGA display. Otherwise, these two smartphones share the specifications of Pioneer P5L smartphone.

The Gionee CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE enabled smartphones have been priced at Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. There are no details about the pricing of P4S and P6 yet. All the newly announced smartphones will go on sale by mid-December in India. Gionee has also announced that all the smartphones launched by the company in 2015 and onwards priced above Rs 10,000 will be LTE enabled smartphones. That’s a superb decision by the company and we appreciate it.
