Gionee Elife S8 with 4GB RAM, Android Marshmallow to be introduced at MWC on February 22

Gionee is all set to introduce the upcoming Gionee Elife S8 with pressure-sensitive display at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 22. The latest flagship smartphone and the successor of Gionee Elife S7 has already been spotted on Geekbench and GFXBench. These listings have revealed the specifications of the device. Lets check them out now.


Gionee Elife S8 Rumoured Specifications

The Gionee Elife S8 will feature a 4.6 or 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD pressure-sensitive display. It will be powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor along with Mali T860 GPU. It will come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the company’s Amigo OS on top of it.

The Elife S8 will come with a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and support 4K video recording. The flagship device will have a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

The Elife S8 will feature 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. We do not know anything about the battery capacity yet.

The Gionee Elife S8 will be announced at an event in Barcelona on February 22 at 2PM (6:30 PM IST). The company is also expected to conduct a pre-MWC briefing for analyst and media in London and Beijing on February 16, 2016.
