We have also witnessed few cool storage solution from Seagate, SanDisk and Samsung. Stepping into the wearables segment, Lenovo has unveiled its Vibe Band VB10 few hours back. Now Garmin has come up with the company’s latest ultra-sleek smartwatch, Vivoactive.
The Vivoactive has built in GPS, sports and activity tracking apps. It lets user track several activities like swimming cycling, running and more and all gets monitored with the help of GPS. The Vivoactive by Garmin boasts a 1.13″ x 0.80″ (205 x 148 pixels) sunlight-readable HD display. The watch has powerful battery which allows 3 weeks battery life in watch/activity tracking mode or up to 10 hours using GPS.
The smartwatch has Sensor-based technology for its swimming app to compute the number of lengths, total and interval distances, paces by length, by interval, and for the full session, as well as calories burned. Well we forgot to mention you that this watch is water-resistant till 50m depth. The watch pairs up with smartphone via Bluetooth to gently vibrate and display alerts for incoming calls, texts, emails and calendar items plus notifications from social media and other mobile apps. User can also control their device’s Music Player via this smartwatch.
The Garmin vivoactive is now available for order in the U.S. and comes at a suggested retail price of $249.99 or $299.99 with heart rate monitor bundle. The smartwatch comes in black and white with optional slate, red, blue, berry and purple leather bands. The Vivoactive smartwatch will start shipping at the end of Q1.
