FITSO: A fitness app that aims at building an outdoor fitness community in India

With a growing number of Indians willing to spend big bucks to look fit, the fitness industry in India is indeed looking promising – and tapping this growth is a Gurgaon based startup FITSO.

FITSO is basically a fitness mobile app which aims to build an outdoor fitness community. The app allows its users to post their activity of interest – like Running and Cycling – and explore what other people and groups are doing in their close vicinity.

Other than this FITSO primarily works to solve two significant pain-points of fitness lovers:

  1. Finding a partner around them with whom they can daily work-out with.
  2. Connecting to fitness professionals across categories like Swimming, Yoga, Running etc to get one-on-one counseling. For this, users can read profile details such as qualifications, experience, achievements and charges of coaches, yoga trainers, physiotherapists, dietitians, fitness trainers, and masseurs and book sessions with them.

One can moreover chat with service providers on real-time basis for any query they have or read its blog written by fitness mentors – to make their day-to-day fitness routine better.

Other than its primary functionality of acting as a social network for fitness enthusiasts, there is also a ‘Leader board’ section where users can complete with each other and win prizes. Speaking of its design, the app provides a simple to understand design, helping users to understand and access its various services easily.

FITSO was founded in June 2015,  by Delhi IIT alumni namely Saurabh Agagarwal, Naman Sharma and Rahool Sureka. After gaining their first hand experience with different e-tailing companies they decided to quit their jobs to create FITSO – and their decision seems to be working well.

Currently live on Android, the app will soon be launched on iOS platform as well. Try out the app if you’re looking to get fit.
