ASUS India’s biggest event is just few hours away. The Zenfone 2 will be unveiled at The Kingdom of Dreams in Delhi on April 23 and the event starts at 12PM.
ASUS India will be launching the Zenfone 2 in India tomorrow exclusively on Flipkart. It is already listed and will most probably go on sale or pre-order at 2PM tomorrow. The 4GB variant which is the ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML will launch in India along with the ZE550ML model and possibly ZE500CL.
At the ZenMeetUp in Kolkata, we were fortunate enough to see the ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML and got to spend some time with it. However, not enough time to write a hands on about it. The smartphone’s most talked about point is its 4GB RAM and it was the first smartphone in the world to pack in 4GB RAM when announced at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
The general performance was good but we need to spend some time with it, to give our final verdict on it. The ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML will most probably be priced around Rs 20,000-22,000 in India and if its below Rs 20,000 by any chance, it will sell like hot cake. Why so? Because Indian smartphone consumers are specs crazy! If anyone looks at a Rs 20,000 price tag with 4GB RAM on it, they will lap it up. Add to that, no crazy ‘flash’ or ‘invite only’ sales.
ASUS will also launch the ZenPower portable power bank tomorrow along with couple of accessories for the Zenfone 2. The company is looking to stabilize their smartphone base in India in order to bring products like the ASUS ZenWatch.
Our team will be attending the ASUS Zenfone 2 launch event tomorrow and will try our best to bring you some hands on video of the newly launched devices. Till then, check out the specifications of ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML.
