Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone gets an update

Windows Phone lags behind the other two dominating Mobile OS namely Android and iOS both in terms of apps as we as getting an update for an existing app. But, Facebook just updated the Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone today.

First of all, the app now lets you record voice messages which Facebook says has been “one of our most requested features.” The update also allows the app to send emoticons which brings it closer to its iOS and Android counterparts.


The typical “other improvements” which usually means bug fixes is also included with the update. The app will now also be more optimised and help save bandwidth as the update mentions “help you save data”.
