Elephone Vowney runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop or Windows 10 launched for USD 299.99

Elephone has announced a unique smartphone called Elephone Vowney that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop or Windows 10 Mobile. It is priced at just US $299.99 and goes on sale from September 30. Lets take a closer look at the specifications of the device.


Elephone Vowney Specifications

The Elephone Vowney features a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display that has a pixel density of 535 ppi. It has a 95% color saturation with 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 64-bit processor along with G6200 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop or Windows 10 Mobile out of the box.

The Vowney comes with a 20.7 megapixel rear primary camera with dual LED flash and Sony Exmor IMX230 sensor. It is also capable of shooting 4K videos. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 165 grams . It is Dual SIM compatible with dual standby mode. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back.


The Vowney includes 4G LTE (800/1800/2100/2600 MHz), 3G HSPA+ (850/900/1900/2100 MHz), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/A-GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in whopping 4,200 mAh removable battery under the hood and the box contains an additional 3,800 mAh battery.

The Elephone Vowney is available in Grey, White and Gold color options and has been priced at US $299.99 (INR Rs 19,835 approximately). It goes on sale on September 30, 2015.

Elephone has recently launched P8000 in India by rebranding it as Auxus PRIME P8000.
