Elephone P8000 said to be launching in India on August 9

Elephone P8000 will be finally going on sale in India on August 9. The Chinese smartphone maker arrived in India with the launch of Elephone G7 around a month back and now they are ready to launch their second device.


Elephone P8000 phablet which was announced in China in May has been listed on Flipkart in India since June. According to a report on Stories I/O, the phablet is finally going on sale in India on August 9. It will supposedly be priced around Rs 11,000 – Rs 12,000 and will be available on all major e-commerce portals including – Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, PayTM and Shopclues.

Unlike other manufacturers who indulge in flash sale and sale via ‘invitation only’, Elephone will host an open sale starting from August 9. The company’s official website will also supposedly go live on August 3. The company has planned to provide quick service, where they promise to pick it up from owner’s doorsteps, repair it and return within 7 days.


Elephone P8000 Specifications

The Elephone P8000 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The phablet comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. This is one of the first device to come with Worldmode LTE support which is built-in the MediaTek SoC. Thus, the P8000 will work on most LTE networks around the world.

The P8000 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 4,200 mAh battery under the hood which will give with good battery in spite of having a 5.5-inch 1080p display and worldmode 4G.
