Elephone P8000 phablet announced in China

Elephone P8000 has been unveiled in China. It is the latest product from Elephone, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer. Lets have a look at the specifications.


Elephone P8000 Specifications

The Elephone P8000 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display which is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The phablet comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. This is one of the first device to come with Worldmode LTE support which is built-in the MediaTek SoC. Thus, the P8000 will work on most LTE networks around the world.


The Elephone P8000 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a whopping 4,200 mAh battery under the hood which will give with good battery in spite of having a 5.5-inch 1080p display and worldmode 4G.

The new Elephone device is rumoured to be priced around US $210 (INR Rs 13,300 approximately) and will come out in the third quarter of 2015. There is no information on global roll out yet.
