Elephone G7 phablet launched in India for Rs 8888 exclusively on Snapdeal

Another Chinese manufacturer, Elephone has finally entered India with the launch of Elephone G7 phablet in association with Snapdeal. Lets check out the specifications.


Elephone G7 Specifications

The Elephone G7 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor along with Mali 450 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and might get updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.

The phablet comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is just 5.5 mm thick and weighs 156 grams, comes with a metal frame.


The G7 includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 2,650 mAh battery under the hood.

The Elephone G7 is available in black, white and gold colour variants and has been priced at Rs 8,888 in India. It is selling exclusively on Snapdeal.

On this occasion, Elephone CEO, Ji said,

“India is a highly competitive market, so we bring our high quality and performance products with aggressive price, which is slight higher than net cost of the products. Elephone is directly cooperating with on of the largest marketplace in India – Snapdeal. We’re glad to cooperate with Snapdeal and willing to bring more good products to India like G9 and P4000.”

So, it looks the Elephone P8000 spotted on Flipkart was a parallel import.
