DataWind, who are known for manufacturing low-cost Aakash tablets in India, have launched couple of entry-level Android smartphones today. Lets check out the specifications and pricing of DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z here.
DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z Specifications
The DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z features a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA display that is powered by a 1.0 GHz Cortex A7 processor. It has 512 MB of RAM and comes with 4 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box.
The PocketSurfer 3G4Z comes with a 5 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The PocketSurfer 3G4Z includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and aGPS as connectivity options. There is no information about the battery capacity present under the hood.
The DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z has been priced at Rs 3,999 in India. It comes with free unlimited internet browsing for one year on Reliance and Telenor pre-paid customers. However, “Free access to internet does not include audio/video streaming or local-downloads, which can alternatively be accessed by topping-up using market plans,” said DataWind. The company has also launched DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X for Rs 2,499.
