Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphone with fingerprint sensor officially launched in India for Rs 6999

Coolpad Note 3 Lite has been announced in India today. It is a ‘smaller’ variant of the very successful Coolpad Note 3 that was launched back in October last year. It retains the fingerprint sensor along with 3 GB of RAM.


Coolpad India has partnered with Videocon to start manufacturing in India. They had announced their “Make in India” plan a while back. Lets check out the specifications of the smartphone.

Coolpad Note 3 Lite Specifications

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS fully laminated display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor along with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 6.0 on top of it.

The Note 3 Lite comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5p lens and f/2.0 aperture. It can record 1080p Full HD videos. There is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 1.4 micron pixels for selfies and video calling. There is a fingerprint sensor located at the back of the phone below the rear camera. It supports Dual SIM and has a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 152 grams.

The Note 3 Lite comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is available in Black and Champagne White color variants and has been priced at Rs 6,999. It will be sold exclusively via Amazon India via flash sales, pilot sale taking place on January 28.
