Coolpad Mega 2.5D goes on open sale in India for Rs 6999

Coolpad had launched their latest budget smartphone, Coolpad Mega 2.5D in the Indian market last month. It went on pilot flash sale exclusively on Amazon India on August 24 and the company had sold 50,000 units of the same. Since yesterday (September 1), the smartphone has gone on open sale and hence you can purchase it from Amazon India without any registration.

The Coolpad Mega 2.5D features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass display, that is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor along with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Cool UI 8.0 on top of it.

The Mega 2.5D comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony sensor and f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is another 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 83.6-degrees wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM, comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is 7.85 mm thick and weighs 143 grams.

The Mega 2.5D includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet rocks a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.

The Coolpad Mega 2.5D is available in Royal Gold and Champagne Gold color variants for Rs 6,999, exclusively from Amazon India.
