BLU Vivo XL phablet with metal body announced for USD 149

BLU, an USA based smartphone company has launched two new devices at CES 2016. They are BLU Vivo 5 and BLU Vivo XL. We will take a look at the specifications, features and pricing of Vivo XL here.


BLU Vivo XL Specifications

The BLU Vivo XL features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek 6753 64-bit processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with Hi-Fi DTS Sound for an enhanced audio experience.

The Vivo XL comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5P sapphire blue lenses, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It shoots Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phablet has a unibody metal build that is 7.5 mm thick. It supports dual SIM with dual standby mode.


The Vivo XL comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. It packs in a 3,150 mAh battery under the hood.

The BLU Vivo XL is available in Chrome Silver, Midnight Blue, Rose Gold and Liquid Gold color variants and has been priced at US $149. It will be sold via Amazon and BestBuy in USA starting this January.
