BLU Studio Energy with 5000 mAh battery available in US for USD 149

BLU Studio Energy smartphone has been launched in US by BLU products featuring a whopping 5000 mAh battery. It promises up to 4 days of battery life on standard usage with a single charge or 45 days standby time. Let us go through the complete specifications of the device.


BLU Studio Energy Specifications

The BLU Studio Energy features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Glass 3 protection on top of it. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali-400 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and the company will upgrade it to Android 5.0 Lollipop by June, 2015.

The BLU Studio Energy comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash that has 1.4 mm pixel size, 1/3.2 inch sensor, 2.2 mm aperture. It also record videos at 1080p Full HD at 30 fps. On the front, it has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone supports Dual SIM with dual standby mode. It is 10.4 mm thick and weighs 180 grams.


The BLU Studio Energy includes 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a whopping 5,000 mAh battery under the hood which is its main USP. It promises up to 4 days of battery life on standard usage with a single charge or 45 days standby time. This smartphone can also act as a power bank and charge other devices on-the-go with the included micro USB cable.

The BLU Studio Energy is available in Ceramic White, Midnight Black and Luxury Gold colour variants which is priced at US $149 (INR Rs 9,300 approximately). It is being sold via Amazon.

Gionee Marathon M3 which was launched in India is being rebranded by BLU as the BLU Studio Energy. Recently, Lenovo P70 was launched which packs in a 4,000 mAh battery as well.
