BLU Pure XL aka rebranded Gionee Elife E8 launched in USA for USD 349

BLU Pure XL has been announced in USA. It is certainly a re-branded Gionee Elife E8 that was launched back in June. Lets go through the specifications.


BLU Pure XL Specifications

The BLU Pure XL features a 6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X 10 (MT6795) processor along with PowerVR G6200 GPU. The body is made up of aluminium magnesium alloy. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Pure XL comes with a 23.7 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 1/2.3″ sensor, 6P lenses, Optical Image stabilization (OIS). It shoots videos at 4K. The camera is capable of shooting up to 120 megapixel images via software modifications which is mind-blowing. It has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 9.6 mm thick and weighs 207 grams. It supports dual SIM and comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back for secure locking of the device.

The BLU Pure XL comes with 4G LTE (on both SIMs), 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, USB OTG, NFC and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,520 mAh battery under the hood. It has NXP Smart PA audio chip along with stereo speakers with DTS support.


The BLU Pure XL phablet has been priced at US $349 (INR Rs 23,200 approximately) which is around half the price (CNY 3,999 / US $645 / INR Rs 41,100 approximately) of the Gionee Elife E8. It will be exclusively sold on Amazon in USA.
